Search for duplicates in column with mixed format data

    Greetings,

Newbie here trying to find duplicates in addresses listed in 3 separate columns (street, city, state) from 2 different sources. Issue is street addresses ( and some cities) are in mixed format (Road, Rd, Street, St., saint martin, saint-martin... ) and I thought convert text to column might work but it did not pan out to desired result. I also attempted to replace all on st with street,... and that did not work as it should probably due to my fault.

Is there another way or formula that can be used for this purpose?

    Your assistance is appreciated.

This type of matching is notoriously difficult. Can you share the data? If so please attach your file. That will help us understand how varied the data is, and determine if a simple solution is possible.

The paper clip icon does not work for attachments. Instead, under the text box where you type your reply click the Go Advanced button. On the next screen scroll down and click on Manage Attachments, which will show a pop-up window to Select and Upload a file. Then close the window and Submit.
