Producing tickets -- transferring data from a continous table to discrete tickets

Hi folks. Hope you are all doing well.

I need to create a ticket system in Excel where I can input data into a table, and that data then gets copied over into a set of "tickets" that can be printed continuously on one page.

Say there are 2 worksheets in my workbook. Call one of them "TABLE WORKSHEET" and the other "TICKET WORKSHEET".

TABLE WORKSHEET has 3 columns: DATE | NAME | AMOUNT. The values to be inputted into these columns will run down the rows, continuously.


TICKET WORKSHEET contains separate boxes [i.e. the tickets] that are spaced at regular intervals. The boxes each have 2 rows and 3 columns. The 3 columns are the same as TABLE WORKSHEET. One of the two rows is obviously for the title DATE | NAME | AMOUNT. The other row is for the value of these titles [the same values as will be entered into the table]. The boxes run down the page, so that the whole thing can be printed at once [ticket after ticket]. That's how it is designed.

So what's happening [as you have probably guessed], is that as I am entering data into the table, the individual tickets are being filled out, continuously.

That's it. Very basic. What can I use in Excel for this? One basic thing was linking rows of cells from both worksheets together. But this is obviously impractical to do, as we are working with hundreds of tickets [therefore, hundreds of rows of cells would need to be linked]. I want to be able to enter the values into the table, and for that to be distributed to the tickets in a continuous fashion.

Are there any shortcuts to this that you guys can think of? The tickets will be printed on pages. Generally, each page will have around 6 tickets. So I have 6 boxes on each page.

Any pointers to things I could learn would be helpful.

I guess I was thinking it could all be done in Excel... such that I would basically have one file that I would be able to click on which would contain all the relevant data.

But I guess I will look into your solution.
