Find and replace part of cell

    Good afternoon

I have a large csv file with data, and a lot of the records are missing the "U" from the word Unit.

For example, I have nit 9 Deacon Trading Estate.

Is there an easy way to find and replace "nit" with "Unit".

If I search nit, it finds all the words with "nit" but I want to find and replace just the 3 letters that are by themselves as "nit"?

    Kind regards,

    Craig Kinsey

What does "just the 3 letters that are by themselves" mean?
The example you gave does not have "just 3 letters that are by themselves"
It has "9 Deacon Trading Estate." next to it.

Please supply some sample data to answer that.

Ensure you describe your problem clearly, I have little time available to solve these problems and do not appreciate numerous changes to them.

    Try this

Save as your workbook as Experiment then Ctrl + F and type "nit " (means nit with a space on right) and in the replace box type "unit " (means a space on the right) and then replace all . See if this helps.
