Okay, I'm trying to create a formula that will count the unique times a course is taken by cost center. I've attached the worksheet.
So an employee may take a course several times, but I only want to count it if the employee has taken the course (I don't care if the employee has taken it multiple times). I want to add up the number of unique times that employees under a certain cost center have taken a course.
So, for instance, on the sheet in column "I" I have the cost center. I want J to reflect the number of times a course has been taken by an employee (but no duplicates).
So for cost center 616277, in cell J2, the sum that I'm looking for is 3 (because Math 101 has been taken by two employees and math 102 has only been taken by one employee). Does that make sense?
I'm struggling here. I have a sumproduct in the worksheet that adds up values, but not uniquely so and I'd *really* prefer not to have to type in the course name if I can help it.
