Question about having different conditional formatting in a column.

For a given column within a table, can you set a particular conditional formatting for say row 1, then a different one for row 2, then a different one for row 3 where the following rows will automatically apply the formatting of row 3?

Yes. Create the table, select the table column, apply the rule that you want to use for rows 3 and following.

Then select the cell in row 1 and add a different rule.
Then select the cell in row 2 and add a different rule.

The column default will still be the rule that has been applied to the whole column, and the other two will be exceptions from that rule.

The same principle applies to formulas, although it's a bit more complicated.

Thank you. I suspected as much as I've noticed through experimentation what you're talking about with formulas. Thanks
