    Welcome to the forum!

    Firstly, we need a suitable thread title. What exactly are you trying to do with that formula?

    Help needed for IF and OR formula

    Hi,

    I am trying to write a formula using multiple cells within a row (not consecutive), where any of the cells = a certain letter, then give answer "Y", if not leave blank.

    This was one of my attempts that didn't work;

    =IF(OR(X1="A",AB1="E"),"Y",""))

    Any help would be most welcome.

    Many thanks

    Remove last closing bracket. You are opening 2 and try to close 3.
