    simply merge two tables by date (time) - how ??

    Hi I believe it is very simple but I am not very advanced in Excel. Was searching a lot , found more complicated things with operations on numbers etc and couldn't find how to do it. I dont want to sum anything , just put two tables together by date.

    I have two tables with a few colums (same column headers), one of which is date / time.

    so lets say first table looks like this:

    DAY number of people
    Mon 5
    Wed 34
    Sun 54
    Sat 22

    table 2
    DAY NUMBER of people
    Tue 7
    Thu 8
    Fri 11

    I want end result to be:

    Mon 5
    Tue 7
    Wed 34
    Thu 8
    Fri 11
    Sun 54
    Sat 22
    (it is indexed by time and that is what I want)

    I have a few tables with same column headers, but lets say there are 2 , I dont mind to go one by one if it is easier.
    There is though more columns to my table - I hope that doesnt matter. I want it to be merged and indexed by time column.

    THANKS A LOT !!!!!!!!!!

    Copy each table and append them to the first table. Then highlight the entire table and sort (on the Data Tab) based upon the date/time column and set it to ascending.

    Re: simply merge two tables by date (time) - how ??

    Another silly question anyone ?

    Is there a way to get rid of underlying formula when it is no longer needed ? Lets say
    A1=5
    B1=10
    and E4=A1+B1
    so obviously E4 displays 15, but if I want to copy E4 to another spreadsheet it will not work without A1 & B1 values.
    I want to change E4 to the end result so it displays 15 without underlying formula... and without rewriting it :O

    HIghlight E4. Select Copy. Select E4 again and Paste Special, Values. It will replace the formula with the value 15.
