    Changing numbers according to date.

Hi there, I'm trying to make a spreadsheet that will measure how much we owe someone. I have created a column that has dates, each line is 7 days later. The next column adds 10 each week, so is increasing. However, what I would like is a cell that has whatever today's date is, and next to it how much we currently owe. So I need the sheet to find todays date and display the column next to it of what our outstanding balance is.

I hope I've explained this clearly and thankyou for all your help.

    So, to show today's date:

Then, in the adjacent cell, simply a VLOOKUP or INDEX MATCH to return the correct value. You will need to use the approximate match flag (1 or TRUE) because of the 7-day difference.

If you can't implement this yourself, please attach a sample workbook.
