Talking import of Data is wrong for long point numbers

Hey everyone im new here as, up till now, i usually didnt have much problems with excel.
My version is rather old (2007) as this is the version i am most used to using.

My Problem is that i import a TXT file with a row of different Numbers. Most numbers are imported correctly, however
as soon as the point number is exceeding 2 digits excel is making the point number to a full number.

    Excample:
    Before import
    Row 1: 2.15
    Row 2: 33.45672789

    After import
    Row 1: 2.15
    Row 2: 3345672789.00

all cells have the same format.

    Please help!
Im going crazy and the web is flooded with so much information on import problems that i cant see the tree in the forest...

Thanks a lot for your help it is very appreciated!

Attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.

Works perfectly for me. Sheet cells being formatted as general.
Decimal points in numbers to be changed to commas depending on regional settings

Re: import of Data is wrong for long point numbers

    I found my issue!
Im German and changed the decimal points from , to .
What i did forget was to change the separation of high numbers with a point to comma.
The program seems to have a higher priority on non decimal numbers.
    Still thanks for the Help!
