Quicker way to copy and paste a lot of rows?

I've uploaded a worksheet. It has three tabs, 'Locations' and 'Sample' and 'Desired'. What I need to figure out is if there is a quicker way to add 1176 rows of data from the 'Sample' tab to the 'Locations' tab.

So, for the 'Locations' tab, row 2, I need to add the info from the Sample tab for column C, D, and E. I need to insert 1176 rows so that it looks like the 'Desired' tab. I then need to do this for all the rest of the locations.

I could do this by copying and pasting it - but is there an easier way?

I must be missing something here, but in C2 copied across and down:

    =Sample!A2

    I know I'm missing something!

Re: Quicker way to copy and paste a lot of rows?

Thanks AliGW, I probably didn't explain properly, my apologies. My expectation is that the total rows on the 'Locations' tab will be somewhere in the neighborhood of 150,000.

So, when it's complete, the 'Locations' tab will have 1176 rows where column A will have 'Loc 1' and column B will have 'Loc 1 irrelevant detail'. Columns C-E will have different information. It will look like how the 'Desired' tab looks.

What is currently in row 3 on the Locations Tab will have 1176 rows too. Column A and B will be 'Loc 2' and 'Loc 2 irrelevant detail'. Column C-E will be different.

It's kind of look like this (although MANY more rows for each loc):

Location Loc Descr Category Type Range
    Loc 1 Loc 1 irrelevant detail 1 A 1
    Loc 1 Loc 1 irrelevant detail 1 A 2
    Loc 1 Loc 1 irrelevant detail 1 A 3
    Loc 1 Loc 1 irrelevant detail 1 A 4
    Loc 1 Loc 1 irrelevant detail 1 A 5
Location Loc Descr Category Type Range
    Loc 2 Loc 2 irrelevant detail 1 A 1
    Loc 2 Loc 2 irrelevant detail 1 A 2
    Loc 2 Loc 2 irrelevant detail 1 A 3
    Loc 2 Loc 2 irrelevant detail 1 A 4
    Loc 2 Loc 2 irrelevant detail 1 A 5

Thank you Fluff13 - this worked!

Unfortunately I am a complete novice with VBA. I might have some follow up questions when I transfer this to what I'm working on.
