Question Displaying 450 suggestions & sorting by qualitative variables and then ranking them

I’m really new to excel and have no idea where to start or what keywords to use to search forums or youtube so would appreciate any pointers on the right path.

I have 450 suggestions. Some are one-line, some are 3 paragraphs, but I am writing a one-line summary for each of the longer ones.

For each suggestion I also have/am getting information on areas like:
Source (ten different sources, some more important than others)
Duplications of other suggestions (although each worded differently)
    Contradicts other suggestions
    System-level (3 levels)
    Category (12 categories)
    Cost
    Timeframe to implement
    Likelihood of success
    Benefit

I need to find a way to show all this info easily. E.g. Have all the data in one sheet, but then on another sheet, people could click on categories and subcategories. So they could choose to see the top system-level suggestions, and then refine for a particular category, and a low cost and less than 3 month implementation.

Then they would see e.g. Here are 5 unique suggestions that fit this criteria. And you could see if any of those 5 had duplicates, or contradictions, or if they were from an important source (ideally they would be ranked according to a formula I would input). And you could also click on any one-line suggestion and see the longer version (for the ones that have longer versions).

And if I could rank all 450 suggestions according to different variables and weighting for those variables. (e.g. I can rank the 10 sources of suggestions, but it won’t be 1-10, it will be 3 most important sources, 4 medium importance, 3 low level; and I would say if a suggestion has a duplicate it gets a higher weighting, and if a suggestion has more duplicates it get more weighting,)- so I would have a whole bunch of factors, and give them a weighting, and say- mash it up and give me an overall ranking.

My problem is a lot of excel stuff seems to be about numbers, and putting in formulas to deal with data, but my info is mostly words.

If anyone could help me work out where to start, or link to useful templates or keywords to use in searching forums/youtube, it would be much appreciated.

I have no idea what I’m doing.

    Welcome to the forum

Please attach a sample workbook (not a picture or pasted copy). Make sure there is just enough data to demonstrate your need. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are shown, mock them up manually if necessary.

    Remember to desensitize the data.

Click on GO ADVANCED and then scroll down to Manage Attachments to open the upload window.
