Date changes following Copy & Paste

When copying from one spreadsheet to another, the dates increase by four years and a day.
This happens whether or not the receiving spreadsheet cells are preformatted or not!!

Tried all sorts - anyone experienced similar issues?

    Regards

    Brian

Re: Date changes following Copy & Paste

That sounds like one of the spreadsheets is set to use the alternative 1904 date system (a brief explanation here: http://www.cpearson.com/Excel/datetime.htm ). You will need to figure out which is which and correct the dates accordingly after pasting them.
