Date Filter Showing All Dates in the Year

I have two identically constructed Pivot Tables feeding two different Pivot charts. The source data is the same. I added date filters to both Pivot Tables. When I click the Date Filter in one Pivot Table I get the first screen grab and the other Pivot Table gives me the second screen grab. Why would one Pivot Table show all the dates in the year when there are only 14 dates in the source data?

If the desired end result is to have the charts both similarly filtered by only the fourteen dates in the source data then I suspect you could link both charts to the pivot table that displays that Date Filter as opposed to using two pivot tables.
