    Colour coding cells

    Is it posible to highlight cells according to a given value. Eg blue cells for every cell with 1 and red for every cell with 2?

    Yes - you set a conditional formatting rule for each:

    =A1=1 for red, set to apply to the entire range needed;

    =A1=2 for blue, set to apply to the entire range needed;

    and so on ...
