    Sverweis/ Look ups

    Hi there,

I try to get a shift sheet for a little job I might do but i have a problem there......
The shifts a changing day by day during a month.....so for instance Tuesday you have an A 6 Shift what means you work from 16:00 till 21:00 and Wednesday you have an B 7 Shift what means from 07:00 till 15:30.

I created a table for me with the complete month and I have all the posible shifts included.

What can i do, to only write f ex A 6 and the start and end times of the shift will be filled in automaticly.

See the attached table. The shifts are called DIENST in german.

    Thank you for your help!

    Cheers

P.s. Please dont look at the grammer of my english, as I am German and I started with Excel only recently.

Hi there, sorry but looking at your attachment, it seems like you've already figured out a VLookup to do what you need. Do i understand incorrectly?

Ok, try this. I simply added an "ISNA" formula to Columns C & D formulas and an "ISERR" formula to the E column.
