Having Combo Boxes That Each Display Its Own Brief Description Within It

I have various Combo Boxes. All these Combo Boxes are blank until a choice is selected. When the Combo Boxes are blank, I would like to have them display a brief description for each blank Combo Box. When all the criteria is reset for the table, I want these descriptions to reappear.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Are the comboxes in a UserForm or worksheet? If worksheet, are they Forms or ActiveX?

    How are the values populated?

We could save a lot of time if you can attach your file, and give the brief descriptions you want to see (see yellow banner at top of page).

The Combo Boxes are in worksheet. I think they are Form Controls, but I do NOT know how to determine the type of control. The Combo Boxes look like this:

    Attachment 672576

The worksheet is Confidential, so I am reluctant to upload it.
I'm hoping that I've provided enough info so you can provide a solution.

    Thanks,

    Dan

I am not sure what you did but the attachment is not valid. Please try again.

To attach a file, under the text box where you type your reply click the Go Advanced button. On the next screen scroll down and click on Manage Attachments, which will show a pop-up window to Select and Upload a file. Then close the window.

Actually you posted a picture instead of a file. My instructions explain how to attach a file. Also this appears to have code tied to the buttons, so I need access to the code as well, which would be in the file.

Thanks for your attention and time. I have decided to create a Text Box above each drop down with the appropriate description. Simple solution!

I think that labeling them is better than trying to put a prompt directly in the list. Nice solution.
