Add multiple cells into one next to the right value?

    Hello everyone,

I have a table like that (with many more entries) and my problem is that I need the format to be like [A has Positions 1,2,3] so A in the left column and all the positions in CSV in the right column.

I hope this is understandable.. the "| " symbol means different columns for letters and numbers. I donīt know how to paste excel cells here

    User | Positions
    A | 1
    A | 2
    A | 3
    B | 4
    B | 5
    B | 6
    C | 7
    C | 2
    C | 1
    D | 3
    D | 4
    D | 5

    Hi amperomaster,
Instructions on how to upload a sample workbook are in the yellow banner on the top.
Show a sample of the current data and a sample on what the result should be. A sample file makes it much easier for members to assist.

    Hi amperomaster,
    Please see the attached file.
A User Defined Function (UDF) which should do the trick for you.
The syntax of the formula is: (Lookup value, Lookup range, Range with values to return)

Let me know how you go with this.

    Hi amperomaster,
You can't really read up on that function as it is user defined, basically a custom formula written for a specific task. But you can read up on UDFs in general and BVA coding.

If the above has answered your query, please mark it as SOLVED.
