    Re: Time format

    Hi Wayne.

So I ran my Excel worksheet with one additional variable. Now, when I try to change the time format from HH:MM to HHMM nothing happens. Any idea about what might be causing this?

    THANKS.

    Re: Time format

Then there is no time in the cell but text. Possibly this works
    in B1 =text(--a1,hhmm)

    Or use text to columns

    Re: Time format

yellow banner at top explains how
HOW TO ATTACH YOUR SAMPLE WORKBOOK:
etaf Fast answers need clear examples. Post a small Excel sheet (not a picture) showing realistic & representative sample data WITHOUT confidential information (10-20 rows, not thousands...) and some manually calculated results. Just before posting, scroll down to GO ADVANCED, click, and then scroll down to MANAGE ATTACHMENTS and click again. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.

    Re: Time format

those cells are not time, JUST text entered as HH:MM
    If you do
    DATA>
    TEXT to Columns
then it will change the cells to a TIME format
    and then format as HHMM
