Can I change a column's formula only so far back up in time?

Meaning, once I change it, I want it permanent so each new row I create uses it, but NOT the rows I didn't include in the change. I think you can as I am sure I've done this but I want to know how to do it exactly so I don't mess up my spreadsheet even more. Thanks!

Re: Can I change a column's formula only so far back up in time?

I might be answering my question here, but I think I just have to change ALL rows, but then go back and change the ones I don't want changed, meaning I gotta open a new column to save the data for the ones I don't want the formulas changed to paste them back in later...

Which means, when I change it, I need it lasting so each new line I make utilizes it, however NOT the columns I did exclude from the change. I figure you can as I am certain I've done this yet I need to realize how to do it precisely so I don't wreck my accounting page considerably more. Much appreciated!
