    Want cell to "auto-jump" to next cell without entry button

    Hey all,

    Inputting golf scores. Need excel to move to next cell automatically after info is input.

    Example: I input a score of 4 for hole #1, I want excel to automatically move to hole #2 so I can input that score.

    Don't want to keep hitting the enter button after each entry. Would save much time entering league scores.

    A simple sheet is included.

    Thanks for any help.

    hitting the enter key tells excel that you have finished inputting data and want to move on.
    this may be possible with a macro, though the closest solution i have seen is where you input the data as a complete string with an apostrophe between each "chunk" of the data in the string.

    If you're going to type an extra character, you might as well press Enter.

    You can set the option to move to the right on pressing the Enter key.

    Choose File->Options->Advanced
    Then at the top under editing options, set the direction in 'After pressing Enter, move selection' ...
