Is there a limit to cells in average?

I'm not selecting a range but individual cells and it seems after so many, 25, something is going wrong.

Why not just use a range?

If that doesn't work for you try a User Defined Function.

What do you mean by user defined? Within the parentheses I have to select individual cells as I don't have a range.

Depends if there is any pattern to the cells. You could perhaps use AVERAGEIFS. Please post an example.

Re: Is there a limit to cells in average?

Thanks anyway. As I was preparing my sample sheet it actually worked so I went back to the original and started making the formula from scratch and it worked. I'm working from my phone so it gets messy in this small space and I guess I miss errors. Don't know what went wrong but starting it all over fixed it.
