How do I set up these "helper" sheet formulas to reflect new rows added from main sheet?

When I insert new rows, usually from the top in my "main" sheet, it screws everything up in the "helper" formulas sheet due to the absolute references I guess.

I found the workaround to be to add rows from the bottom of my table then copy table contents down to the bottom then clear the contents at the top of the table where the empty space would be made. Kind of a cumbersome to do it.

It may be the only way to do it but I wouldn't know otherwise so I thought I'd just check with you Excel geniuses. So...

    BRILLIANT! thanks!

Is this like basic stuff for you? Looks like magic to me. I know it's not even VBA but I'm more a GUI kinda operator. I can't stare at "code" for too long before my head falls off my shoulders. When I work with just this basic stuff I have to transfer it to a notepad with huge font and separate it into sections. I wish there were a more "GUI" Excel.

Now I gotta study what you did a bit before I transfer it back to my original file.

It wasn't always but, after you've seen it and done it a few times, it becomes fairly straightforward.

Instead of hard coding cell references, this just indexes the column(s) using the current row (ROW()). It will always refer to the right row regardless of whether or not you insert rows.

    Well, rep someone else
