Question Ignore multiple rows in a column sort?

I have an Excel SS with multiple columns of data. I have some rows interspersed with that data that I want to have ignored or not included in a column data sort. I want the row left in place and the rest of the data sorted around or above and below these excluded rows. How can I do this? Thanks.

A picture is worth 1,000 words. An Excel sheet is worth 1,000 non-editable pictures.

Please read the yellow banner about sample worksheets, at the top of the screen. Act on its guidelines and post a SMALL sample sheet complete with an explanation and some expected results.

If I understand you correctly you can't.

A sort is a sort is a sort. Stating the obvious it's meant to apply a natural order to all the rows in a selected range in the key column.

As Glenn implied, from your description it's not possible to understand what you expect to see after a sort so impossible to advise further without seeing the workbook in which you've clearly shown a Before situation and manually added what you expect to see after a sort
