    Sorting a calendar

Hi, I need to create an event calendar that shows the event name, roles, staff name, their duties each day (coded using letters that sync to a specific duty that day, for example ("I/D" means install/dismantle), job number and location of event. And then be able to sort by Event name, staff name, job number, and location. Any suggestions?

    Re: Sorting a calendar

It would help if you attached a sample Excel workbook, in which you can show your requirements more clearly. To do this, follow the details given in the yellow banner at the top of the screen.

    Hope this helps.

    Re: Sorting a calendar

Not sure that I understand the relation between the two calendars.
Racing seems to go from January through October of 2022 while Master ends in December of 2021.
Note sure that I understand which, if either, is the desired output.
If neither file shows the desired output, then please manually show us a least a small sample so that we have something with which to compare the results of our proposed formulas/code.

    Re: Sorting a calendar

So I think what I need to know is how to set up columns so that you can filter that column based on certain criteria.
I will need to design where to put the columns in the calendar once I understand how to set up the columns with filtering capabilities.

I need a column to list the role and a column to show that person's name next to it. Then to be able to filter based on the person's name to show just the events and days they are working.

We also want to be able to sort by event name/job number (the job number is just the number assigned to each event on the tour), which is difficult because it would need to be filtered by rows, stopping and starting on certain dates.

I hope this info helps. I can work with the design if I only understand how to sort/filter columns and rows as needed.

    Thanks!
