Is there a way to copy and past a formula with relative cell references staying same?

For example I want to copy and paste =COUNTIF(B5:B35,P4) to another cell but when I post all the cell references change (which I assume is normal).
However I noticed if I copy the formula from the formula box (instead of the cell) and paste it in another cell it seems to work/ do what I wanted.

Is there not an option in all the paste options to do this other then the way I did it (copying the formula directly from the formula box)?

I know I could make the source cells have absolute references but I assumed there was an easier way but maybe not?

    Thanks.

Why not use Absolute reference (or mixed), it just needs F4, it's quick.
    =COUNTIF($B$5:$B$35,$P$4)

I guess that's what ill do. Its just a pain because I have small keyboard and cant just hit f4 to make an absolute reference. Thanks for the reply

No idea what sort of keyboard you have but on most where you have multi-key you can set which has the priority (function key or normal key).
