lists with different return?

Im looking for a way to create a simple drop down box which like normal will display words such as winner, runner up etc. however is it possible where the normal options such as winner runner up are there but when i click onto winner instead of just the block simply displaying winner i change what it displays to something such as a integer of 500 so when i select winner i will get 500 as a return instead in the same block?

No. A cell can containn EITHER a formula OR a value.

You can use an adjacent cell to return the desired value from a lookup table, or similar.
