Exclamation Trickyissue: convert a cell with multiple words to each new rows but maintain other column

    Hello all,

It is a bit hard to explain in words, so please see the image below.
Basically, I want to change [one cell with multiple words separated by commas]:photos to multiple columns but keep the [rest of the data]: dmg, value1, value2

    excel issue.jpg

And I have about 1000 rows of these so I manually doing it will not work

use Power Query and Split by delimiter ( , ) to the rows by [photos] column

Got it will try. Much thanks,

But wouldn't this simply change [photo] to multiple new rows without copying [dmg, value1, value2]?

Re: Trickyissue: convert a cell with multiple words to each new rows but maintain other co

Sorry about the image, new to this forum.

First of all much thanks for letting me know such tool exists.
But I am still quite lost on how to use it.
If I go to Power Query Editor, everything is grayed out.
Sorry for being a noob, but can you provide a quick step-by-step on how I can use Power Query Editor to use [Cplit Column by Delimiter]?

select your data and use - Ctrl T
then Data tab - From Table
it will open PQ Editor where you can select column [photos]
    the rest you know...
    on the end Close&Load...
