automatic cell population

quick and easy question for ya'll

if i have "A" in cell A1 and i have "B" in cell A2, how do i get cell A3 to read "AB"

basically, how do i get a cell to take the values of two different cells and combine them. this will be used for text, not numbers.

any ideas?
