    I want todays date in my spreadsheet to be red. I also want this.

    My purpose is to show what is due today. I need the date to change with
    every day and be red so I will notice it. How do I do this?

    Do this by conditional formatting.
    Cell Value Is > equal to > =today()

    Hi

    Have a look at Format/Conditional Formatting.
    Select the column you want to format and use
    Formula is . . .
    and
    =D1=TODAY()
