can excel reorder lines of text from a txt file?

example would be....


joe
john
jim
james

would be after


john
james
joe
jim

Yes........the column can be sorted itself, ascending or decending, or each
row can be assigned a number in a helper column, and then the whole thing
sorted either ascending or decending according to that column.......
