CAN'T CHANGE "SAVE AS" WITH 2003

I just installed Office 2003. I had been using Office 2000. I can't make any changes from the default file "SAVE IN" for "SAVE AS" in excel or word.

Assistance appreciated !

Right-click on the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop,
left-click on Disconnect Network Drive, and disconnect any mapped
drives that are not currently available.
