I want to display the minus sign

How do I display the minus sign? I don't want to enter a formula, just text
    or a label

Place an apostrophe in front of it.

Technically, it is a single quote. The apostrophe is the upper right
    key on most keyboards.

What country's keyboard do you have that distinguishes between
a single quote and an apostrophe. No difference on US keyboards.
Accent grave is in the upper left corner of US keyboards.
