    Question AutoFill help

    Hello,
I would like to enter the numbers 50 through 1 in descening order for a range E3:E52 using the auto fill. Unfortunately, I am utterly confused and don't know how to do this. I have looked through the help index and it seems as though when I select the range a little box in the right lower corner pops up and apparently I am suppose to click it, but I don't see any box or anything at all.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
    Thank you very much!!

Put 1 in E3 and 2 in E4. Select both E3 & E4, then place the cursor over the fill handle (small box in lower right corner of the selection) and it will turn into a black cross. Left click and drag down, noticing the values in the pop-up counter that follows the cursor. Continue dragging until the desired row (or column) is reached or the desired value is obtained.

    put 50 in E3 and 49 in E4
then select both cells i-e E3:E4
and hold the right lower corner of the pointer and drag down.

also look in the attached file.
