    Help my feeble head! How to automatically subtract two columns?

    I'm trying to do something easy and it seems harder the more I think about it. I have a worksheet with 5 columns of data with X number of rows...

    for example..

    1 2 3 4 5
    A
    B
    C
    D
    X
    X

    I need to take the data from A1 and subtract A4, and display on A5, repeat same columns for all rows. I want this to be done automatically do I don't have to insert a different formula for every row into A5. Can someone tell me or point me into the right direction? Thanks

    Type =A1-A4 into cell A5.

    Then select A5.
    Click on the black Square to the bottom right of the cell and drag down.

    the Formula will be copied down and the row number will increment to match the row
