other users in a excel sheet

I have finally made up a excel sheet for data thats to be input daily, the data will be getting accessed daily by 10-20 people at any time.

Is there a way that if person 1 goes into the sheet and when it comes up with the "read only" option that it tells the user who the other person is?

ie person 1 logs onto the sheet and the box comes up saying that person 5 is in it?

    Hi,

hopefully not, such information should be restricted to your network controller/admin.

Is the workbook shared to allow multiple person updates?

If there are a group of people on a shared portion of a network, so everybody has access to all files on that portion, then if their User Name is entered on General Tab in Options, then you open a file and someone already has the file open, you get a message to say "The file is read-only and is being edited by Fred Bloggs" or something similar
