    "locking" a row together

I am brand new to Excel. Is there a way to make a row always stay together, regardless of the sort? For example, my spreadsheet has student's name/fall score/spring score/teacher/district. Can I make it so that those items can't be separated? I know that there is a way to dothat when you sort it, but the first time I tried to sort, I sorted by teacher and ended up with the wrong teacher with each student. And didn't realize it and saved it. Just wondered if this can be done so I don't accidntally do the same thing again! Hope my question makes sense. TIA!

Hello, and welcome to the forum.

When you have data to sort, make sure that you have headings to each column, and all rows have data in them (no completely blank rows).

Take a look at this link for more information
