Help with Cell Lookup for basic Sinking Fund

Hi guys, haven't been on Excel forum for a while, but I am stuck once again, hoping anyone can give me a helping hand.

I am looking to replicate a Sinking Fund for our workplace that was given to me, in regards to various assets and building works, and their costs over time.

Basically, I have three columns that need to be changed often - the 'years til replacement', 'life expectancy', and 'current cost'.

These are shown in the sheet I have uploaded. I'm hoping to be able to type in, for example, an '8' in the years til replacement box for item 1, A/C Heat Exchangers. When the 8 is typed in and hit enter, the sheet would hopefully then adjust and bring forward the values from 2016 + 8 years across the 15 year span shown, then have that particular cell highlight or something to show that it has been affected. Then eventually, with correct data, the next cell over (9 years from the current year if typing in an 8, when the item is 'replaced') will display the new cost after replacement and continue the trend... all the while ticking up 3.57% inflation along the way. Pretty simple if you know what youre doing I believe... like everything in life!

The highlighted cells are the ones that are currently in line for 'replacement' etc.

If i can just get a formula or something to have the cells in the 3 columns be able to affect the 15 years or so of columns for that row that would be fantastic. I hope you guys know what I mean, maybe the sheet will give more info. Cheers!

I am not clear on a point. "three columns ..... changed often". After the initial 8 years in D5 pass will you be changing that 8 to a 10?
