Drop Down List:Listbar from Control Toolbox.

    Hi

I was wondering about drop down lists.

I have used Validation and Listbar from Control Toolbox. But just to make my sheet more user friendly I was wondering if.............

You know if you type in excel e.g.

    Bananna
    Bank
    Bandanna etc

When you start typing again as soon as you get Band it will give the option of Bandanna

Is there a way that if I have a drop down list of peoples names and someone starts typing instead of simply choosing that Excel will give options to choose from?????

    Drop Down List

    The short answer is: No

But....Technically: Yes...However, you've REALLY got to want autocomplete when you consider the effort involved.

See Debra Dalgleish's excellent website for instructions:

    Does that help?

    Hi Ron,

I agree - maybe better just having a Validation box.

Still, thanks for your help - that is a very good site, I think I will find somethings to play with in there,

    Cheers for your help
