Some sort of "IF" command---HELP

OKAY, no one replied to this in my first attempt posting, so i'm assuming I need to be more specific.

Workbook 1: I have cells A2:A9 which needs to recognize and copy automatically the following info from Workbook 2.

----in WK BK 2 if cell A2:A15 contains "specific name" then data from B2:B15 will autmatically be copied into cell A2:A9 of WK BK 1

Is this easier to understand. I am desperate to figure this out.

Alright, in the a zipped folder you will find a file named "Calender" and one named "Troops A-Z". Look at Jan. in the calender and you will see 2 entries. This will be the primary page where info will be entered. On the troops file (A-B tab) you will see how I want the information to be automatically copied into it.

Can you post a zipped Excel sample of your workbook... showing what you want to have happen?
