transfer and match data

Hi,

I needed help in transfering and matching data. I am working on 2 files which both contain a set of project numbers. Both are mixed and not sorted out. In one of the files lies the name of the company. I need to take the name of the company from that file and put it side-by-side with the project numbers in the second file. How do I do that?
