    Filter Issue

Has anyone else encountered this and if so - how did you resolve it?

Columns are hidden and when inserting a row then copying/pasting the row above to the inserted row and filter is active it seems like it does not copy the filtered/hidden data to the inserted row.

I attached a sample (in 97-03 & 07). The Sample tab is the data with no hidden columns or formulas and the Sample with Filters contains the row (yellow) with the error.

    Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

    Filter Issue

    Hi,

Whenever filter is active and we try to copy some data, excel copy only visible cells & pasted them adjacently without leaving any cell blank.

In your case, when filter is active and columns F-G and V-AA are hidden, excel is copying only A3:E3 (5 cells), H3:U3 (14 cells) and AB3:IV3 (229 cells) in row 3 and pasting them at A4:IN4 (248 cells) without leaving any blank cell.

My suggestion for you is to do this step when filter is not active. Then all 256 cells in a row will be copied and pasted. This will help you.

If problem persist, please let me know.
    Thanks

    Thank you!

Hope that's something Microsoft will fix in the future. Not complaining about 07 because it's much better than the prior but there are still many things I'd like the functionality to do that are not available now.

    hi Traci-Marie,

I agree with Vinay's suggestion of removing any active filters (I haven't actually looked at your attached file) before copying & pasting but if you really want to copy & paste (the visible data) while filters are active then John Walkenbach's "copy multiple selections" macro may be of interest. This can be found at the below link:
