    Concatenating cell comments

I'm school teacher and use Excel to carry out all student assessment. I add comments (right click > add comments) to a specific cell related to a particuar student which contains details of improvements to be made to a piece of work. This worksheet contains other information such as grade, deadline met, etc.

I would like to, on a separate worksheet (same workbook), in a cell next to each student name, show the comments as text which are on the other worksheet. This is so that I could simply print the worksheet showing only the student name and comments realated to imrovements needed.

How could this be done? (urgent)

    Thanks

    Take a look at this

Is something like this what you had in mind. Kinda simple, but should do it. If not come back.

Thanks for the help Dean BUT it's not what I was looking for. I have attached the file. I was refering to the actual cell comments (right click > add comment). How could I display these cell comments from Sheet1 as just text into cells relevant to the student into Sheet2?

Anyone can try answering this query...thanks

    Hello London_Teacha,

This macro copies all the student names names and comments to "Sheet2". The macro has been added to your workbook which is attached. I did notice that "Task" headings are on "Sheet1" are different than "Sheet2". You should make the sheets match. Here is the macro code...

THANK YOU very much Leith. This is exactly what I wanted.

I don't know VBA in great detail. Any chance of explaining what it all means perhaps line by line so that I could tweak it to be used in other worksheets, etc.

    Thanks once again

    Hello Riz,

Certainly I can create an annotated version of the macro for you. Like anything else, it is easy once you know how. I have a friend whose name is Riz. He is from India. Just curious.

    Sincerely,
    Leith Ross
