    What is green triangle?

I have a column in my sheet to which I have applied a formula. Almost every cell in this column now has a green triangle in the upper left corner, except for some which don't have it. What does that green triangle mean?

    Thanx,

    Ken

Hi - I just to wanted to briefly add that these "formula errors" can cause a lot of difficulties. For example, if you're summing up rows from a database extract that has some of these errors interspersed, your results may or may not add up properly. Also, formulas may or may not take for the range of cells as well

If any of the data is used mathematically and has the green triangles, I'd recommend correcting them. For some of the Oracle extracts I work with, they may have nulls or mixed values in the monetary fields creating several cells with green triangles, when I extract using Toad.

To correct this, I'll sometimes copy the entire range to Notepad, select it from there and copy it back into the original spreadsheet to remove these. If you have just a few, you can hover over the cell and click on the dialogue box to correct them that way as well.
