    Printing data as a letter

    Hello,

This is a first time for me to try to ask a question about something I am still trying to understand, I hope It is clear enough, if not I will try again, Thanks for your patience.

I have a sheet that tracks personal info. on orders for many different people.

Columns A, B, C all will contain the same values for each person with mutiple orders, but Columns D through S will have different values. a person may have many data rows attributed to them that represent different information for single orders. I want to be able to print a Formatted letter that inlcudes only one reference from that person's A,B,C columns while listing select columns in the range A:S with in a chart format similar to one in a word Doc.
SO the person gets a list of products with thier corresponding reorder dates.

    thanks all in advance

    Hi timeweaver,

What you are requesting can be done in Excel...but can you please post a file with sample data, so I can create a sample solution for you?

To post a zipped example, go to “My Documents” or wherever you have your .xls file stored, right-click and “Send to > Compressed file”, then attach this zipped file to your post.

Yeah I was working On that

Yeah I figured that out shortly after I made My post, thanks!

I want to be able to print a letter to each cumstomer, with a chart listing thier products, company addresses, order dates and such. It would be preferable to create it as a control where on first clink you could specify which person you wanted to print this for. If I had an exampled I would be able to modify it for my useage I believe.

Not sure if that is possible or not? thanks again for the help!

    Hi timeweaver,

Please find attached an updated version of tyour example file.
On sheet 3 I created a pivot table that does what you want.

right click on the table to see its options and to play around with the formatting.

    Hope it helps
