    Question Sorting + Misc questions

Greetings oh yee of the braintrust

I am trying to make an excel document to register the stats of about 30 men doing Cooper test (12 Min running)

My plan was to register the distance of all the men, and then make excel place them into 4 different running groups based on their results.
But alas, I have failed in this task, It seems the sort function does not work when there is a function call in the cell (Eg. =IF(I5=1;A5;"") and so forth)

How do I sort the data from the RunningTeam column, and place the appropriate names in corresponding RunningTeams?

Perhaps I too will learn something this day

    Hi mgm123,

The easiest way is to use autofilter on the original table.

Highlight the column headings, > Data > filter >autofilter.

using IF will be very clumsy and the number of IF conditions you can use is limited (7 in 2003)
