    Shorten Formula

    Hi,

Is there any way to shorten the following formula:

    =SUMPRODUCT(ISNUMBER(FIND(A13,$B$2:$B$5))*ISNUMBER(FIND("N",$C$2:$C$5))*ISNUMBER(FIND("B",$D$2:$D$5)))

I am using this formula to count how many times 3 conditions are being met.

Thanks in advance for any help.

    Calli

    Hi

That formula checks if the respective cells *contain* "N" and "B" and the contents of A13 - do you definitely need *contains* rather than equals? The difference being "Richard" contains "h" but doesn't equal "h". You could shorten it then. WHy do you want to shorten it (out of interest)?

I thought there was a more condensed version of the formula.

But I'll use it the way it is.

    Thanks for your help.
