    Conditional Formatting

I will appreciate if someone can help me:

    I want cells B5, C5, D5, E5, F5, G5, H5 to be highlighted in a colour (say green), if cell A5 = "Actual".

    Can this be done?

Just select the range B5:H5 (starting at B5) and then use

Format > Conditional formatting > "formula is"

    =$A5="Actual"

    select green format > OK

Note: you must include the $

Select cells B5:H5 and go to Format|Conditional Formatting.

Choose Formula Is from 1st drop down menu and enter formula:

    =$A5="Actual"

then click Format and go to Pattern tab to choose green...

    Click Ok.

    Click Ok again.

    Hi,

Select the cells you want formatting, go to Conditional formatting and in the Formula as, enter =$A$5="Actual", then set format as you require
