    convert to date...

    I want to convert a number to date of ddmmyyyy format.

    example: if i enter a date as 311208 it should be converted as 31/12/2008.

    If you want the conversion to take place on entry in a single cell then you'll need VBA.....

    .....or if input is in A1 then in another cell you could use this formula

    =TEXT(A1,"00-00-00")+0

    format as date

    It should be changed in the same cel as i finished giving data.
