Import data from dropdown menu on internet

    Hi all, new user here,

Am having problems with a spreadsheet which i use at work.

I am trying to import data from the intranet (local internet where i work).

The webpage is displayed in drop down menus, eg http://www.google.com/help/hc/images/news_4104_en.gif

however it has staff names A - Z

When we click on the name the persons data will appear, it is the same format for everysingle staff.

In excell i have all the names, but i want it to cross reference the name and automatically import all the data from each name in the dropdown menu.

    Can this be done

    I hope this makes sense,

    Thanks in advance

In theory I suppose this is possible.

But I have to ask why would you want to do it?

Surely you have this data located in some other location that would be easier to access.

    Hi thanks for the reply,

the problem is the makers of this "Website" wont give me access to the database, but me and my colleage need this data everyday, and at the moment we have to copy and paste all the data

    Sorry but you've lost me.

I thought this was an intranet which implies that it's a company/organisation that you work with.

Why would they deny you access to data?

    sorry ill explain,

my role is to do inhouse sales spreadsheets for all the staff,

but we have a central team (the top people) who create all the database etc

however inhouse our managers what spreadsheets creating, but we need to use this data, but because the "work" the managers want is not used in all areas, the central team dont give us access to is

its very very difficult to explain

    sorry
