I am really having problems writing formulas in the SUMIFS argument box even. I need exacts but can't really enter false anywhere in the box.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated. Thank-you very much!!

Hi Cindy
Welcome to the forum.
This link should help you out with more information on SUMIF:

If you need more help, then attach a sample workbook or post an example.

G'day Cindy and Spellbound,
The sumifs formula is only a xl 2007 function.
For xl 2003 and older version to sumif more than one criteria you need to use the sumproduct formula.
Cheers

Hello Cindy,
Don't really know what this means, you only use FALSE as an argument in VLOOKUP to indicate an exact match, SUMIFS doesn't work quite the same way.
Perhaps you ought to begin by describing exactly what you want to accomplish. If you're using SUMIFS I assume you want to sum one range based on criteria in one or more ranges, perhaps you can describe what these are?
